Relationship Support for Caregivers and Children Age 1 to 14 Years

Hide and Seek

About Us:

We assist caregivers who are distressed in their parenting role and want more positive interactions with their children. We specialise in assisting parents  of children with behavioural problems, such as aggression and extreme angry outbursts. All of our services incorporate research to examine acceptability and effectiveness for reducing family stress, improving caregiver-child relationships, and improving children's social and emotional development.

We currently offer four free programs for children and families:

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)

PC-CARE

Circle of Security (COS)

SYN*APPS

We are currently open for referrals from the Queensland Department of Child Safety for families interested in PCIT, PC-CARE, COS, and SYN*APPS.

We are currently open for referrals from Health and Community Agencies, Paediatricians or other Health Care Providers, Schools, and Daycares for families interested in PCIT or PC-CARE.

Please call or email for a referral form.

In the spirit of reconciliation the Family Interaction Program acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

We are an inclusive organisation.

We thank the QLD Dept of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability and Griffith University for the generous financial and infrastructure support for FIP since 2002.
